Reflection

This program has expanded my knowledge of Health Sciences and solidified my love for it. Some key concepts that have been transformative for me include public health, health equality, and social determinants of health. 

I have immensely developed my communication, problem-solving, and innovative skills during group projects, presenting, and talking with professors. The Health Sciences Capstone course helped me think practically and sparked innovation in how i approach healthcare and health promotion. 

One of the biggest challenges I faced in this course was time management especially with the group project. It was hard to find a time that worked best for everyone. I overcame this by being more flexible and compromising. This taught me the importance of communication, problem solving, and leadership skills. 

This course has reinforced my love for Dentistry. It has ignited my interest in public health and serving underserved populations. I see myself working with low-income communities. 

I plan to apply everything I learned in my future professional life. Some of the key things are leadership, communication, data analysis, and health planning. I will continue to learn so that I can grow both personally and professionally.
